Background & Expertise

Black Rock (Novi/Ann Arbor locations)

November, 2015 – January 2018

At Black Rock, I began as a busser for the first 6 months. Then, when I turned 18 and was able to legally serve, I immediately became a server. For a year and a half after, my main responsibilities were to serve food, run food, answer the phone, and do side-work such as rolling silverware, filling dressings, and cleaning the restaurant. I also helped train some of the bussers and servers when the new location opened in Ann Arbor.

Emergency Room Scribe (PhysAssist)

June 2018 – November 2018

As an emergency room scribe, I personally helped doctors, physician assistants, and nurses in the emergency room by filling out medical charts and performing tasks such as comforting patients. I traveled between a system of several hospitals in Ann Arbor, Livonia, Brighton, and Chelsea, Michigan to accomplish these tasks on the night shift. There was direct patient contact with about 10 patients a night where I was able to see a wide array of clinical conditions. I also learned medical terminology and clinical thought-processes during the extensive training as well as learned how the hospital system functions.

Asthma and Allergy Institute of Southeast Michigan

May 2019 – August 2019

My job as a medical assistant involved working side-by-side with the allergist to administer allergy skin tests, scribe patient history, greet patients, take their vitals, and fill out patient paperwork. I had direct patient contact with about 10 different patients a day and administered allergy skin tests on about 25% of the patients. I also helped the owners move from the Novi location to the current Farmington Hills location. As an independent allergist who owned his own practice, I was able to learn about what it takes to maintain and thrive in an independent clinical setting.

Alliance Rx Walgreens Prime Specialty Pharmacy (ARxWP)

October 2020 – September 2021

Amidst Covid, my job at ARxWP consisted of working from home and taking 20-30 calls a day for patients who have chronic, inflammatory conditions. These calls consisted of scheduling delivery for at least 20-30 different medications. I also answered questions about the process itself, insurance, and copay assistance as well as made outbound calls to about 50 patients a day who needed to be contacted for any delays in the process.

American Income Life

September 2021 – Present

As a Life and Health Insurance Sales Representative, I learned to call leads, close sales, collect referrals, and maintain my own business. There was an extensive onboarding process that involved obtaining the separate life and health insurance licenses; additionally, there was advanced training on the philosophy of sales, how to present yourself to clients, recruitment, as well as team management. I received over 15 applicants as recruits, made about 1000 cold calls each week, as well as presented and sold policies multiple time a week. I also learned more about social media and marketing which connected me with over 100 new people on linked in.
